      The Tashmoo Cottage and Hideaway property is set back 300' from the road. The paved road ends right next door.     
         The Tashmo Cottage, offers about 1100 sq. ft. of living area, with one and a half stories. It has three bedrooms, one bath
       It has a compact design, allowing space to accommodate two couples, or one or two families with children. It is set up to sleep 6 people comfortably.
 The cottage fits perfect for a couple honeymooning, combining a feeling of first home together, with privacy, space and beauty.
Pets are welcome to vacation with you at the Tashmoo Cottage.

A 12'x 28' deck to the west, overlooking a small pleasant fishpond, makes for long evenings with outdoor dining, while the sun goes down behind the treetops. The deck is set up with dining furniture, and a BBQ is located just off the front steps.


The beautiful Tashmoo Cottage has white pickled wood cathedral ceilings and natural slate tile work, accented by skylights and lots of windows, giving the feeling of being outside in the surrounding forest, while enjoying the privacy of the home
 
Soft colors and clear lines, crafted with natural materials, create a peaceful
backdrop for your vacation living.  It is located across the field from the Hideaway, and shielded with fencing and plantings.  The home has the feel of a separate property, in the hearth of the rural little “village” we call the Tashmoo Cottage and Hideaway.

A full kitchen with a gas stove, a double door refrigerator with icemaker, a dishwasher, a butcher-block peninsula and a microwave oven, suit gastronomes as well as the basic food preparer. Tumbled marble counters are showered with natural light from a wall of windows embracing the kitchen. The kitchen is open to the living room, and to the outside deck.

The Tashmoo Cottage is a fully winterized cottage, with forced propane heat.  In addition an efficient glass door wood stove, can also function as an open fireplace for romantic ambiance.

There are two equal sized bedrooms on the first floor with generous mirror-door closets. One room features a queen-sized bed.  The other bedroom has two twin beds. Both rooms have double glass doors opening up to the rising sun in the East so you can start to enjoy the day, even before you get out of bed.

All three bedrooms, share a full bathroom with a soaking tub, located on the first floor.
     An additional outdoor shower helps cut the pressure down on the bathroom, when there is a crowd getting ready for dinner. The outdoor shower is located, next to a flower field, and is a Martha’s Vineyard favorite way of showering off the sand, after a long day at the beach
